Confirmation

It is always a challenge to be a witness to our faith in Jesus. The Sacrament of Confirmation gives us the help we need to bear strong witness to our faith by giving us the fullness of the gifts of the Holy Spirit like the disciples on the day of Pentecost. This Sacrament perfects our baptismal grace and through the gifts of the Holy Spirit helps us grow to Christian maturity. It strengthens our bond with the Church, associates us more closely with Her mission and helps us bear witness to Jesus in our words and deeds.

The sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of sacramental grace. By the sacrament of Confirmation, [the baptized] are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed.
